IndustryPACK (IPACK) Modules Specifications
OVERVIEW
The MAXVME-6400 is a reliable and flexible IndustryPACK (IPACK) Carrier Card supporting the VME64x specification. It supports up to four single-width IPACK modules or two double-width modules (or a combination of one double-width module with one or two single-width modules).
Two hundred lines of I/O are routed to the five-row DINP 2 connector and the seven-row 2 mm Hard Metric P0 connector. The VME interface supports both A24 and A16:D16:D8 short I/O access and A32:D16:D8 extended memory access.
The MAXVME-6400 unique design allows operation with 8 MHz or 32 MHz IPACK modules and provides very precise input and output clock signals for board-to-board timing synchronization. Also IRIG-B signal input (optional) may be used for IRIG-B Time Code reading and synchronization.
Using the MAXVME-6400, nearly all CPU products (VME64 or not) can benefit from full access to the IndustryPACK modules.
About IndustryPack (IPACK Modules)
IndustryPack is an open industry-standard format for mezzanine modules. System engineers can use the MAXVME-6400 board with available MAX Technologies standard IPACK Modules or third party IPACK products.
MAX Technologies IPACK Modules includes Digital, Analog, ASYNC and SYNC HDLC/SDLC serial I/O and a large selection of specialized avionics databus interfaces such as MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429, ARINC-561, ARINC-629 and others.
