OVERVIEW
The   MAXBox   provides    avionics   engineers   and  technicians the power and the flexibility of a complete  desktop databus test and measurement solution in a compact portable unit. This portable solution provides avionics interfaces for    MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429/575 ARINC-561/568, ARINC-629, ARINC-717, ARINC-708, Serial ASYNC, HDLC/SDLC, RS-232/422/485, ASCB, CSDB, Pulse/Freq. Generator, Digital I/O, A/D and D/A devices.
The  MAXBox is a  self  contained,  avionics test  and  measurement  system  with a CARDBUS interface. The unit includes a full size MAX Technologies’ PCI-400 carrier board equipped with up to four single or two  double size industryPack  (IPack) modules and can be connected to any laptop or desktop PC with a CARDBUS interface connector. The MAXBox operates from an external 110/220 VAC (47-440Hz) supply or by its internal rechargeable battery and provides 4-10 hours of autonomy.
MULTIPROTOCOL & I/O SOLUTION
Multiple protocols can run simultaneously on the MAXBOX and all the transmitted and received data packets are time-synchronized to one microsecond precision.IRIG-B signal input is also supported on many configurations..
Software Support
The MX-Foundation library provides high-level abstraction of hardware and allows to easily control mixed protocols and I/O modules on one or multiple carrier boards.
