The computer timebase is normally used when time tags with time of day are needed and no IRIG-B signal is available. This timebase has the lowest accuracy.

A correlation between the computer's RTC and device's RTC is made at the call of the mxfSystemTimeBaseSet() function, but there is no process to keep them in sync, so the computer's RTC and device's RTC will likely drift apart over time.
