IC/RM/EDE

Integrity checking, Redundancy Management, and the Boeing specific Error Detection Encoding are all features available for use with the MXF API.

• Integrity checking refers to the checking of successive frames to make sure the sequence numbers are in order.
• After a packet passes IC it goes to Redundancy Management to determine if the packet will be passed through or dropped.
  Packets are dropped when the packets replica has already been passed.
• EDE is an added layer of error protection developed by Boeing.
