The Service Access Point port enables communication with a compliant network by including the address and port information with the data. SAP ports support both Acquisition and Sampling services. Similar steps are taken to setup either type of reception. The process and differences are outlined in the next section. With SAP Port, only the payload is returned, the headers (MAC, IP, UDP) are removed.
