Word Formatting

Some service helper functions are implemented to manipulate ARINC 429 32-bit words.

The following are helper functions to encode the label, SDI, data, SSM and parity fields in a word. They all specify the label, data and parity fields and, depending on the function, also the SSM and/or SDI fields for encoding data records.

The following are helper functions to extract the label, SDI, data and SSM fields from a word. They are used typically in receive functions to extract the fields from the data words.

The following two helper functions can be used to encode and decode a BNR formatted ARINC 429 32-bit word.
